This little 1 year old boy is Michael Teel, I call him Mickey. He is my baby brother. I was 14 when he was born on October 22nd 2010. He is my favorite person in the entire world. I care for this baby more than any human could ever care for another human being. The little things he does can put a smile on anyones face. Some of the amazing things he can do is say Awwie, my name is Allie so that’s his way of saying it. One day, I was riding in the car sitting in the backseat with him. I have a fear of car accidents, and I guess he knew that. He was strapped in his car seat & I was talking to him, and my mom was driving. It was pouring rain & he reached his arm over to me and said “Don’t be afraid, Awwie.” That was his first sentence. He is such a caring person & for him to be only 1 he is my best friend. He is the reason why I stopped having anxiety and the reason I didn’t commit suicide. I think about what he said to me, don’t be afraid. Isn’t it crazy how much you can love someone? I think about how he could be unhealthy. There is not a minute that goes by with out me thinking about him. He is teaching me not to take anything for granted. I never believed in true love until him.
